Join the Far East Council for Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) at Sarimbun Scout Camp in Singapore!

IOLS provides adult leaders with the practical outdoor skills needed to help Scouts succeed in the Scouts BSA program. The course is designed to provide hands-on experience with many of the outdoor skills found in the Scouts BSA program.

Registration Fee

$40 USD per participant

The registration fee is based on a local course cost of S$50 SGD per participant, converted to U.S. dollars for registration through the Far East Council.

All participants must register and pay through the Far East Council's online registration system.

About IOLS

Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) is a hands-on training course designed to give adult leaders the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the outdoors.

Through hands-on instruction, participants will develop skills and confidence in areas such as campsite setup, outdoor cooking, fire building, navigation, woods tools, knots and lashings, first aid, and other fundamental outdoor Scouting skills.

Participants should plan to arrive with enough time to check in, set up, and be prepared for the course to begin promptly at 6:00 PM on Friday, September 18.

Additional information regarding what to bring, meals, camping arrangements, and other course requirements will be provided to registered participants.
