Fundamentals Part 2: Craft of Training course description
This course is the second part of the train-the-trainer continuum. As trainers develop their training skills, this course provides an opportunity for trainers to practice and refine their abilities through experiential learning, paired with feedback from faculty members and peers. This course also supplements the training development sessions offered during faculty development for advanced leadership training courses.
Who should attend:
- Those who have completed their online AND in-person Leadership Specific Training!
- Cubmasters/Cub Scout Leaders should have taken BALOO
- Scoutmasters/Assistant Scoutmasters should have taken IOLS
- Adult volunteers interested in joining the Training Team in South Korea and perpetuating a learning environment in the local Scouting Movement!
PRE-REQUISITES
(must be completed BEFORE the course is taken)
- Must be a Registered Adult with the Far East Council.
- Current Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT - Formerly known as Youth Protection Training (YPT))
- Present a completed "Annual Medical & Health Record" - Parts A & B medical form to check-in.
- Completed all Online Trainings for the positon in which they are registered.
- Completed BALOO or IOLS, depending on which program they are registered.
- Completed the Fundamentals of Training: Part 1 Online Course. (here)
Frequently Asked Questions
- Am I required to camp overnight?
- No! This is a short 4 hour course that does not require an overnight.
- What should I bring?
- Yourself and your presentation information! Plan to engage in a two-way conversation during this training where you can share your experiences inside of and outside of scouting!
