Get ready for a day of fun, friendship, and fast cars! The Guiding Compass District and the Scouts Association of Japan (SAJ) are excited to once again partner for the 2026 All-Okinawa Pinewood Derby. We can’t wait to see the creativity, craftsmanship, and speed your Scouts bring to the track!

Registration Information

Registration Deadline: February 28, 2026
(Open to both DOD and Non-DOD participants)

Cost: $12 per Pinewood Derby participant
Fee includes:

2026 All-Okinawa (Japan) Pinewood Derby Patch

Cub Scout activity stations

Lunch

Important Event Details

ALL Pinewood Derby cars must be dropped off by Sunday, March 2, 2026. Can drop off at Scout Offices on Camp Lester or Contact Sara Ramos at sara.ramos@scouting.org for pick up locations. 

Cars will NOT be raced if brought on the day of the event.

Trophies will be awarded for each race category (more details coming soon).

Scouts should wear their Scout uniform on race day.( Class B after opening ceremony ) 

Cars must follow the rules outlined in the Official Pinewood Derby Car Kit.

This event is a fantastic opportunity for Scouts to celebrate sportsmanship, craftsmanship, and international Scouting friendship. We encourage all units to participate and help make this another memorable All-Japan Pinewood Derby!
