2026 Tokyo Area IOLS Training

Cost of Training:
Participants: $20.00
Staff: $15.00

Cost includes 1 night of camping, 3 meals, and training patch. 
Please bring your own lunch for Saturday, February 21, 2026.

Materials: Please bring your Scouts BSA Handbook. If you don't have one, you can purchase it at the FEC Council Store. See attached packing list for other materials.

Working as patrols, this hands-on course provides adult leaders the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors. Upon completion, leaders should feel comfortable teaching Scouts the basic skills required to obtain the First Class rank. Along with Scoutmaster Specifics this course is required of all direct contact leaders registered in Scouts BSA Troops in order to be considered “trained”.

For Non-DOD/SOFA attendees who need base access, please meet at Camp Zama Gate #1 at 9:30-10:00 AM on February 21. Bring your Passport ID to be signed in.
