Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO)
This one-and-a-half day course is designed as an introduction to the Cub Scout outdoor program for
leaders interested in adding a camping component to their Pack activities. BALOO training consists of
an online pre-requisite component in addition to an overnight outdoor camping experience.
Completion of this course is mandatory for a MINIMUM OF ONE adult on a Pack overnighter.

Who: Who should attend BALOO?
All registered Cub Scout Leaders, including Den Leaders, Assistants, and Committee Members. Also,
parents interested in learning Cub Scout camping skills can assist registered leaders on campouts.

What: What does BALOO training consist of? Training is divided into two parts:

Part 1: This is an online pre-requisite module that must be completed before arriving at camp.

You must complete the online portion before arriving at camp and bring a printed copy of your
certificate of completion for the face-to-face portion.

Part 2: Instructor-Led Portion of BALOO is a one-and-a-half-day course designed to introduce
the Cub Scout outdoor program, combining indoor classroom work with some hands-on outdoor
program ideas.

The purpose is to introduce Cub Scout leaders to pack overnight camping and Webelos leaders
to den campouts by providing fun ways to inspire positive experiences for all in the pack.
 

Arrival time is at noon (12:00) JST on November 1, 2025 
When: November 1 (Sat) - November 2 (Sun) 2025
arriving at noon (12:00) JST on November 1 and ending around 11:30 a.m.(JST) on November 2.

Online Participant $10.00   

Online Participants: course will provide, course materials, patch ( online participants will need to have all materials on the gear list as if they were taking the class in person)
