CUB SCOUTS and SCOUTS BSA  VIRTUAL PINEWOOD DERBY EVENT

SATURDAY, MARCH 13TH, 2021

RACE FANS! RACE FANS! RACE FANS! Since we can't meet in person to have our District Pinewood Championship, we are going to do it virtually!  We will broadcast the race across social media for all the district to see.  And this year both Cub Scouts AND Scouts BSA members are eligible to participate!

All registered Lions, Tigers, Wolves, Bears, Webelos and Arrow of Light are eligible to compete in the District Pinewood Derby. 12 cars (2 per rank) will be allowed to compete at the District Level. Each Pack may specify an alternate (one from each rank) in the event one of the top two racers from their pack cannot compete at Districts. Scouts who race within their packs as Arrow of Light, but cross over to Scouts BSA prior to the district event may still compete at the district race as a Cub Scout.  We ask that one person complete make the registration for the entire pack.

All registered Scouts BSA youth may register for the Scouts BSA race category.  All rules under car specifications and race procedures apply the Scouts BSA as well.  Scouts BSA will not race by rank but rather in one large group. 

Participating cars must be delivered in a gallon zip lock bag to a designated location with the Scouts' name, rank and pack/troop # clearly written on it.  

The cost is $10 per racer.  Each racer will receive an event patch in the mail and the top racers will receive trophies.  Read the attached Race Guide PDF for more information.
