Fellowship and Ordeal weekend

The Mamchachwelendam Order of the Arrow Chapter invites you to join our annual Fellowship and Ordeal weekend of Service and Scouting Fun in Florence, Italy over the Memorial Day Weekend.

The weekend event will include a service project to the cemetery, a great camping opportunity, campfire program, OA ordeal for newly elected ordeal candidates, Brotherhood ceremony, and possibly a Vigil ceremony. The event opens at 1600 on Saturday the 28th and concludes at 1100 on Monday the 30th.  Attendees are welcome to stay for the cemetery's Memorial Day Services afterwards.
 

The Florence American Cemetery and Memorial site spans 70 acres south of Florence in the hills of Tuscany, The ABMC Cemetery cares for the headstones of 4,402 military members. The graves represent the U.S. Fifth Army burials from Rome to the Alps. The majority of the members buried here died during the fighting after the capture of Rome in June 1944.

We are offering the following choices inside the registration:

ORDEAL CANDIDATES $72 includes lodge flap, sash, handbook, and event patch, and meals Saturday night - Monday Breakfast (5 meals).

BROTHERHOOD or VIGIL CANDIDATE  $43 includes Brotherhood Sash, meals Saturday night - Monday Breakfast (5 meals), and event patch.

OA FELLOWSHIP PARTICIPANT $33 (all other OA members and non-OA adults volunteers) Includes event patch and meals: Saturday night - Monday Breakfast (5 meals). 

Fees increase by $5.00 per person if you register after May 9th.  Registration closes May 16th.

As part of the Ordeal Weekend, we will be involved in a Service Project. In addition to your Scout uniform, please pack work clothes, work gloves,  and expect to get dirty. 

We will follow the current Federal and Italian regulations for COVID-19 mitigation.
