2020 Vision for Scouting!

The rescheduled Scouter’s Annual Conference (SAC) will be held the weekend of November 13th at the Edelweiss Resort & Lodge in Garmisch Germany.  Scouters from all over the Council will gather for fellowship, training, and recognition.  A full weekend of live training courses and topics pertinent to our leaders are planned to help deliver better programing to our Scouts.  Planned topics include Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA Leader Training, Trainer’s EDGE (special all-day Friday class), Cub Scout Shooting Sports, Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO), Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS), Safety Afloat, Scoutbook Tips & Tricks, STEM, and other classes.  Please refer to the Schedule PDF on the registration page.  On Saturday night we will celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the founding of the Transatlantic Council and will also present the 2020 class of Silver Beaver Award recipients. This recognition is the highest award a council can bestow upon a volunteer for their service to Scouting.  This year we will salute Ray Eden, Jennifer Guth, Richard Newton, and Kreg Schnell.

SAC is not just for Scout leaders- families are invited to the weekend as well!  Families can use the facilities such as Just for Kids and Kids Night Out or they can visit the Garmisch area.

The fee for the Scouters Annual Conference is $60.00 per person.  Event Staff is $40. This includes a ticket to attend Saturday's Silver Beaver Dinner.  Additional dinner tickets can be purchased for $35 per person.

Lodging is not included with the SAC registration. You can elect to stay on the Edelweiss Property or stay in the Garmsich area.   Contact the Edelweiss Lodge directly to make your reservation and use Code 2011BOYSCO.   

Guests staying offsite are responsible for their own breakfasts and lunches.

Non-DoD ID card holders will need to complete this permission form to be able to come on the grounds of the Edelweiss Lodge.  This needs to be submitted to John Erskine by October 29th.

Additional courses- possibly to include some sessions via Zoom- may be added in the near future.
