THEME:  Late Georgian Era- the Gauntlet of Britannia

Scouts, welcome to a weekend of daring feats and timeless spirit. You are about to step into the world of late Georgian Britain, a time of bold exploration, social upheaval, and national pride. Between 1790 and 1837, the British Isles were alive with transformation. The Industrial Revolution surged forward, reshaping cities and countryside alike. Steam engines thundered across new railways, factories lit up the skyline, and inventors pushed the boundaries of possibility.

This weekend, you will channel that same spirit. Through the Mob Football melee, the icy thrill of the Cresta Run, and the heights of the Rock Wall, you will test your strength, your teamwork, and your tenacity. Each challenge is a tribute to the endurance, ingenuity, and unity of those who came before us.

We hope that during the Mayflower District Spring Camporee 2026, Scouts will not only rise to the physical challenges of Britannia’s Gauntlet, but also gain a deeper understanding of how the Georgian period shaped the country we know today. From the grandeur of empire to the grit of everyday life, this era offers rich lessons in leadership, perseverance, and change.

The Spring Camporee will be held at the Phasels Wood Activity Centre. The address of the scout camp is:
Phasels Wood Activity Centre, A41, Kings Langley WD4 9NA

Units should plan on arriving between 18h00 and 22h00 on Friday, 10th April 2026 and departing after the closing on Sunday, about 10h30. Preferably do not arrive early Friday evening, as the Camporee Staff may not be ready.
 

Parent Portal Available:
We have enabled the use of Parent Portal.  This allows the initial Registration Contact to provide unit parents with access to only their Scout's part of the registration, to make payments and complete data entry. 

Here is how it works for the Registration Contact:
1.  From the 'Additional Actions' dropdown menu select 'Parent Portal'.  Additional instructions are located inside the application.  
2.  Select 'Use Parent Portal' via the checkbox.
3.  After checkout return to this feature and select 'Parent Portal Credentials' to print parent login credentials.
4.  Give parents one login credential for each of their participants (including themselves if they are one of the participants).
5.  Parents can then use these credentials to make payments and update data entry fields such as name, rank, dietary requirements, etc.
