SPECIAL NOTICE:  Virtual Pack, Troop(s), Crew and Ship 802

Before you register as a Lone Scout & Counselor, read this notice first!

Current Scouts and prospective Scouts who reside in remote or underserved areas with the TAC operating area are eligible for membership into a revolutionary program that has been developed by the Transatlantic Council. Because of the nature of the delivery of this program, at least one parent is expected to be registered with BSA, provide onsite guidance and ensure the safety of their Scout.  We want to make sure each Scout conducts themselves in keeping with the Guide to Safe Scouting, the Scout Oath and Scout Law. To that end, we started a virtual Pack, Boy Troop, Girl Troop, Venture Crew, and Sea Scout Ship for Lone Scouts called Council Consolidated Units 802.

Benefits of joining the 802 Transatlantic Council Scout Groups:

  • Scouts become part of a den and pack or patrol and troop or ship or crew

  • Youth leadership opportunities

  • Conduct in-person meetings using a variety of emerging technologies and online learning platforms

  • Plan face-to-face activities in local areas, districts in close proximity to their remote locate and TAC summer camp and day camp programs.

  • Access to Scoutbook and Internet Advancement.  By electing to transfer from the traditional Lone Scout program into our virtual Scout Units you will have immediate access to Scoutbook. Conversely, if a Scout family elects to remain in the traditional Lone Scout program you will need to continue to submit manual advancement reports without the functionality of being able to monitor your Scouts progress using Scoutbook.

  • Eligibility for Order of the Arrow membership (if a Scout meets the requirements and is elected by unit peers)

If you wish to join one of our 802 Units, please go here to find sign-up links for each unit. An adult with a valid Youth Protection Training certficate is required to sign up with their Scout to join an 802 unit.
