Lone Scout & Lone Counselor Registration
Please pay here for Lone Scout or Lone Scout Counselor registration. The Council will complete your registration once payment has been received.
If you are registering for the very first time in the Transatlantic Council (TAC) as a Lone Scout or Lone Scout Counselor you will also need to submit completed application(s) to the TAC Docuware site before your registration can be processed. Youth and adult applications be found here. If you are a transferring in from another BSA Council, you will need to submit a a new application for your Scout for yourself as their counselor. If you are not sure what District you are registering in, a list of the counties served by each District can be found here.
SPECIAL NOTICE- virtual Pack, Troop, and Ship 802
Before you register as a Lone Scout & Counselor, read this notice first!
Effective 01 August 2023: all Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA Scouts, Venturing and Sea Scouts youth will now be required to pay a $80.00 National BSA Registration Fee and all registered adult leaders will be required to pay $60.00 for their annual National registration fee.
Additionally, all TAC Scouts and registered adult leaders will be required to pay a $48.00 Overseas Council Fees for all paid youth and adults in all districts when they recharter. Also, Lone Scouts do not have access to Scoutbook to track their advancement achievements.
To that end, we started a virtual Pack, Boy Troop, Girl Troop, and Ship for Lone Scouts called Unit 802. By electing to transfer from the traditional Lone Scout program into our virtual Scout Units you will have immediate access to Scoutbook. Conversely. if a Scout family elects to remain in the traditional Lone Scout program you will need to continue to submit manual advancement reports without the functionality of being able to monitor your Scouts progress using Scoutbook, additionally, you will need to renew your Lone Scouts registration using the newly announced higher fees, which now total $128.00 for Scouts and $108.00 for registered LS Counselors & Friends.
Please complete an adult and youth application and indicate that you are transferring from the Lone Scout program to Family Pack or Troop or Crew 802. Adults need to also provide a copy of their current Youth Protection Training certificate and should include a signed copy the additional background authorization form as well. Applications for Lone Scouts and Counselors can be uploaded through this site. Please make sure you indicate that you are joining Unit 802.
What is the Cost of Registration in the Transatlantic Council, Boy Scouts of America?
Beginning August 1, 2023, all new youth and adult members who join Scouting will be enrolled in a 12-month membership cycle and BSA will cease prorating fees. Both youth and adults will pay the full annual membership fee and will renew their membership on the anniversary date of joining Scouting.
Annual youth fees:
Current or renewing members: $128.00 ($80 BSA Fees and $48 TAC Overseas Council Fee)
New members pay a $25 Joining Fee in addition to the $128 Annual Fee for a total of $153.00
Adult leader membership fee: $108.00 ($60 BSA Fees and $48 TAC Overseas Council Fee)
Since 1 August 2020, there is a one-time $25 joining fee for new program participants in Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing and Sea Scouts; however, there is no joining fee for Exploring participants, participants previously registered in any BSA program, those transferring from one program to another, council-paid memberships, or adult volunteers.
