OA Mamchachwelendam Memorial Day Service Weekend Florence Italy 2025

Mamchachwelendam Order of the Arrow Chapter invites all newly elected and current OA members to the Fellowship and Ordeal service weekend in support of the Memorial Day ceremony at the Florence Italy ABMC.

The Mamchachwelendam Order of the Arrow Chapter invites you to join our annual Fellowship and Ordeal weekend of Service and Scouting Fun in Florence, Italy over the Memorial Day Weekend.
The weekend event will include a service project to the cemetery, a great camping opportunity, campfire program, OA ordeal for newly elected ordeal candidates, Brotherhood ceremony, and possibly a Vigil ceremony. The event opens for arrival at 1600 on Saturday the 24th and concludes at 1100 on Monday the 26th. Attendees are welcome to stay for the cemetery's Memorial Day Service afterwards.
- Camping and Ceremony Location: Camping will be a separate location this year: the Gabbiano Scout Base camp: via vico l'abate, San Casciano in val di Pesa, Florence
- Service Location: Florence American Cemetery, 50023 Tavarnuzze FI, Italy
The Florence American Cemetery and Memorial site spans 70 acres south of Florence in the hills of Tuscany, The ABMC Cemetery cares for the headstones of 4,402 military members. The graves represent the U.S. Fifth Army burials from Rome to the Alps. The majority of the members buried here died during the fighting after the capture of Rome in June 1944.
We are offering the following choices inside the registration:
ORDEAL CANDIDATES $75 includes lodge flap, sash, handbook, and event patch, three meals on Sunday, Monday Breakfast plus a sack lunch (5 meals).
BROTHERHOOD or VIGIL CANDIDATE $55 includes Brotherhood Sash, three meals on Sunday, Monday Breakfast and Sack lunch (5 meals), and event patch.
OA FELLOWSHIP PARTICIPANT $35 (all other OA members and non-OA adults volunteers) Includes event patch and three meals on Sunday, Monday Breakfast and a sack lunch(5 meals).
Fees increase by $5.00 per person if you register after May 20th. Registration closes May 22nd.
As part of the Ordeal Weekend, we will be involved in a Service Project. In addition to your Scout uniform, please pack work clothes, work gloves, and expect to get dirty.
