College of Commissioner Science

The 2025 College of Commissioner Science welcomes all Scouters to attend! We will be offering classes in the traditional Bachelors and Masters tracks. In addition to the commissioners, we are inviting everyone from across the Scouting Community.  This will be a great time for all non-commissioners to come to learn what commissioner service is all about and how commissioner service may help you better succeed in your Scouting role to provide better unit service.

The College of Commissioner Science provides in-depth knowledge of all the essential aspects of the commissioner’s duties and responsibilities. The result is a stronger and more knowledgeable commissioner team serving the units. 

Commissioner College offers the opportunity to:

• Learn the information essentials to provide the best service to Scouting units
• Provide fellowship amongst the commissioners
• Reinforce and expand on the lessons learned during previous training
• Provide updates on commissioner service and Scouting

The College of Commissioner Science is a uniformed event. Please wear your official BSA field uniform. Please see the Event Guide and Class Schedule for more details.

The registration fee is $50

Virtual participants fees are $20

Attending the Scouting Leadership Conference
After the College of Commissoner Science day is done, the Scouting Leadership Conference & Council Celebration Dinner begins. Registration for this event is seperate. Please use this link to register.

Deadline for registration is midnight, 09 November 2025.

Included with full Registration –
The in-person registration fee includes venue expenses, event patch, course material access, Friday lunch and snacks, certificate and administrative costs. 

Virtual participants fees include an event patch, digital course material access, and certificate.

Lodging: For those desiring to attend in person from out of town, lodging has been arranged at Berggasthof Königstuhl, Königstuhl 2, 69117 Heidelberg, Germany. Individual guests may contact the hotel by sending an email to info@gasthof-koenigstuhl.de or call +49 6221 4160300 to facilitate booking their own room. Reference "Transatlantic" to get the room rates. The prices are:

• 139,00 € for a single bed
• 159,00 € for a double bed

Breakfast is available for 17,00 € per person. Indicate how many people will want breakfast when making your reservation.

Opening Ceremony – On Friday morning, all participants will meet in the main room where they will be welcomed by the Transatlantic Council leadership, Council Commissioner and College Dean. There will be a short welcoming, with an inspirational message from TAC leadership. Participants will receive pertinent information in regard to the day’s activities, and any other last-minute details will be available.
