Staff Training Day/Set up, Sunday, June 9th, 2024.

Barbarossa District's Afternoon Day Camp is five days filled with fun activities where Cub Scouts have the opportunity to explore, learn, and complete rank requirements under the direction of a trained staff.  The Camp Director and Range Director have completed the Boy Scouts of America training required to safely run an accredited program for the BSA.  Transatlantic Council takes pride in providing camps that meet with the BSA standards, which have been developed to provide a safe and fun learning environment for each Scout.

Day Camp provides an opportunity for Scouts to begin working on their next Cub Scout rank. Day Camp also allows packs a great opportunity to recruit and encourage new volunteers and Cub Scouts.  Program events will include Archery and BB Rifles, Nature, Sports, STEM, Arts & Crafts, Songs, Skits, and FUN!

Day camp is available to ALL boys and girls of Cub Scout age who are registered with the BSA. Registration can be activated for new Cub Scouts to the Transatlantic Council on the first day of Day Camp. (*SorryLions are not permitted to attend summer day camps per BSA rules.)

Register your Scout by their age/rank based on their grade level in the coming Fall of 2024.  They will work on age-appropriate activities during camp.

There will be many opportunities for campers to complete required and elective activities of the various BSA Cub Scout ranks while participating in Day Camp.  Camp staff will keep track of the advancement and elective activities completed.  The information will be returned to the pack and the parents at the end of camp to be transferred to the Scout’s handbooks.  No awards will be issued at camp.

Fees for Cub Scouts: $80 per Scout who register on or before midnight 31 May 2024. After that date, the fees go to $95 per Scout. Per BSA rules, youth who will be Tigers in the fall of 2024 must be accompanied by an adult partner at day camp. Total Tiger Cub Fees are $95 per pair ($105 late fee after May 31st). All Scouts receive a camp t-shirt and event patch.

We need volunteers to be Den Walkers, Activity Area Staff, and other help. This includes Scouts and Venture Scouts.  Scouts under 14 can sign up as staff as long as a parent, guardian or troop leader is present.

Registration closes on June 6th, or when we reach a capacity of 120 campers.

Please download the Parent & Leader Guide on this page for more information.

We are looking for volunteer staff. We are looking for station managers, nurse and den walkers. Each pack is responsible to provide one den walker for every 5 Scouts. All staff must be registered with the BSA as Camp Staff.
