Edelweiss MBU 2026

Event Details

Welcome to the registration page for the Edelweiss District's 2026 Merit Badge University!

We NEED volunteers to assist us with this event!

We are still looking for some adult staff to work on the cook team.  Please contact Rodney Henk if you are interested!

rodney.henk@scouting.org

  • Troops are free to arrive on the 27th and camp through the 1st, or just come for the MBU on Saturday the 28th.  Please annotate your preference when you register.  Except for lunch on Saturday, Troops are responsible for their own meals over the weekend.
  • All Merit Badge Counselors and event staff will lodge and have meals provided!  For Merit Badge Counselor and event staff lodging, you will need to bring your own sleeping bags/linens for the beds, as well as towels and toiletries. Showers are available.
  • The $15 event registration fee covers lunch on Saturday, a custom event patch, and program material fees.  Potentially some of the merit badges may have additional costs associated with BSA craft kits that are necessary for MB completion.
  • There may be pre-requisites for some of the MB offerings.  Please monitor your email and/or continue to check back on the registration page as we will update as needed.  It is critical that Scouts read the MB pamphlet, print out a MB worksheet, and complete all pre-requisites assigned by their MBC where notated!
  • Scouts need to bring proof of all completed pre-requisites to the MBU and/or be prepared to demonstrate or discuss how they have completed the requirements with the merit badge counselors. If not they will need to keep communication with the counselor to complete after the MBU - Scoutbook is a great way to do that!
  • Please see the event guide for other details regarding registration, what to bring, schedule, etc.

Scouts may attend and camp all weekend or just attend for the day of the event on Saturday, your choice.
