Edelweiss District MBU/Training/Frogs weekend

Event Details

Welcome to the registration page for the Edelweiss District's 2019 Merit Badge University Adult Leader training and first year Scout skills course known as FROGS.

WE ARE FULL! Thank you for your understanding - space is limited!

Arrival on Friday with a small snack provided. All meals on Saturday and a Sunday breakfast are included. Dorms are available for adults and Scouts however camping is an option - bring your own gear if you choose to camp.

The indoor dorm accommodations require your own linens/sleeping bags as well as towel(s) and toiletries. Beds or cots will be available in heated indoor spaces as well as showers/toilets. For those involved in the Baloo and IOLS trainings you will need to bring your own mess-kit for outdoor meals.

We hope to offer 20 merit badge classes for the weekend of different lengths. Some classes will be a morning only or afternoon only while others may be an all day course working with the merit badge counselor. As we draw closer to the event any prerequisites will be published and sent to registrants. Not every merit badge can be completed in one day and therefore the Scout and his unit along with a merit badge counselor can complete the items not possible in our MBU outside of the event either as a prerequisite or the scout may leave with a "partial" blue card.

All Scouts shall bring their own blue cards with unit leader approval to the event. All registrants will need to supply their own bedding/sleeping bag and pillows and also towels and personal hygiene items.

We aim to offer the following merit badges however we do not have a counselor for each and hope to secure a commitment from more volunteers as the event date draws near. Please be advised that your registration for a desired merit badge may need to be transferred to another class if we do not have a counselor to fulfill the role.
