Superhero Scouting!
May 17-19th @ Camp Euchee
Registration opens at 4 pm.
Get excited about the Scouts BSA program through:
- Hands on scout skill lessons
- Fun games and activities
- Sampling outdoor cooking
Come as a patrol or a parent and scout team. Bring your camp gear and set up for a great weekend. Cook your own food or have Saturday Dinner & Sunday Breakfast in the Dining Hall.
FRIDAY EVENING:
Cub Scout Shooting Sports Award- A 1-hour class taught by our NRA instructors, reviewing the requirements for Level 1 award (All ranks) and Level 2 pin (Webelos/AOL BB guns or Archery). The majority will be done during the class. Shooting portion will be held during the late afternoon free session. To sign up, select the 6pm or 7pm class during event registration. Seating is limited. Awards not included.
SATURDAY:
Round Robin Events- Scouts travel in patrols like Scouts BSA. Each patrol gets a starting point, then go around in order! Be ready with a yell, flag, and Scout Spirit!
“Campfire Tips, Tricks, and Treats” - Come check out and sample what is in the camp kitchen.
“Flying Feathers” – Hit the target, individual awards.
“Get the Lead Out” – Hit the target, individual awards.
“Why Knot? What Knot?” – Which knot is for what? Patrols use teamwork to complete this event.
“Fire Building” – Safe fire building, practice, and try cooking an egg!
“Fit as a Fiddle” - Test your strength and stamina on the Athletic Field.
“Campsite Ready” – Tour a site and see the ax yard, cooking station, and more.
“Save the Hiker” – Try your luck with First Aid relays for injured campers.
“Scout Jeopardy” – How much do you know about Scouts BSA?
Late afternoon– Free swim time, Level 2 shooting qualification, or pick a patrol activity.
Evening- Campfire with skits, songs, and more fun. Special ceremony in Native American regalia.
Graduating Bears and Webelos attend since they will be WEBELOS and Arrow of Light scouts soon.
