MERIT BADGE UNIVERSITY IS ON!

Saturday, August 15 • Niceville

Register today before classes fill!

Join Scouts from across the Gulf Coast Council and beyond for a full day of learning, advancement, and fun! Attend with your troop or register as an individual while earning merit badges taught by local experts and experienced Scouting volunteers.

 

Event Information

Locations: Niceville City Complex area and various locations within 5 minutes of the complex

Registration

  • $20 per Scout if paid by August 8
  • $5 late fee applies after August 8

Optional Prepaid Lunch

  • 1 Hot Dog Lunch: $5
  • 2 Hot Dog Lunch: $7

Schedule

8:30 AM – Check-in
9:00 AM – Opening & Classes Begin
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Morning Classes
12:00 PM – Lunch
1:00 PM – 4:00 PM – Afternoon Classes

 

Before You Register

  • Open to Scouts from all Councils and Districts
  • Attend with your troop or register individually.
  • Choose one full-day merit badge or two 3-hour merit badges.
  • All attendees must submit a current Annual Health and Medical Record. If your troop maintains medical forms, please bring a copy unless your unit submits them before the event.
  • Participants are responsible for reporting completed merit badges to their unit leader and turning in their blue card.
  • Please Check Your Email!

Class locations may change based on enrollment. Final class locations and check-in instructions will be emailed and posted on the website approximately two days before the event.

What to Bring

  • Lunch (if not purchasing the optional lunch)
  • Pen or pencil
  • Notebook or paper
  • Water bottle

Important Reminders

  • Scouts must actively participate to receive merit badge credit.
  • Some merit badges include prerequisites or requirements that cannot be completed during class. Completing prerequisites and reviewing the merit badge pamphlet before attending will help maximize completion.
  • Check the registration page for updated prerequisites, permission slips, and other course information.
  • Returning required forms before the event will help speed up check-in.
