Winter Camp is a great time to be at Camp Sol Mayer. Our staff is focused on providing your unit with the best Winter Camp Program in the state of Texas!
Camp Sol Mayer is a hidden gem of Scouting, and Winter Camp at Camp Sol Mayer is the highlight of the Texas Southwest Council Calendar. Scouts can expect to engage in active and exciting programs while attending Winter Camp.
Additionally, we are excited to be partnering with the Buffalo Trail Council this winter to make Winter Camp better than ever!
Maverick Campers
Our camp welcomes maverick campers! Within two weeks of camp, we will connect any Maverick Scouts/Scouters to plan and coordinate.
Camp Leader's Guide
Our Leader's Guide is available in the attachments below. Further, our course offerings are available in the Course Catalog document provided below. The Course Catalog will be finalized by June 15, 2024.
Adult In-Camp Compliance
All adults attending camp are required to complete the Adult In-Camp Compliance Form, linked to this event in the attachments section. This should be completed by the last day of registration.
Winter Camp Staff
Our Staff is currently made up of all volunteers who possess unique and valuable qualities; the expectation of our staff is that they are charismatic, hard-working, team-oriented, and willing to do everything they can to make our camping events memorable for all the Scouts who attend.
Our staff team is like a family, helping each other as they provide the best possible experience for each camper and keeping up with each other after camp ends. Additionally, staffing our winter camp is a great resume builder, which can lead to summer camp, high adventure jobs, and more!
