Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS)
Event Details

“This hands-on program gives adult leaders a practical introduction to the patrol method of a Scout-led troop by teaching many of the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors.” (Camping Required)
Come and join us for a two-day IOLS training where you will camp Friday night, function as a patrol, and will learn the outdoor skills and learning methods scouts will use in our program. Course will dismiss Saturday evening.
Items to bring:
Scouts BSA Handbook ( borrow a scouts book)
Rain Gear
Water Bottle
Flashlight
Map/Compass
Clothing for the Season (to be comfortable in the outdoors)
Eating/Mess Kit
Notebook or Paper
Pen or Pencil
Camp Chair (for comfort, but there will be picnic tables...1st come, 1st serve)
Tent & ground cloth.
Sleeping gear
BSA medical form A & B-completed
