BSA Climbing Level 1 Instructor Training

Event Details

Please join us for the BSA Level 1 Climbing Instructor Course. This is the required training to staff and Co-instruct BSA climbing/rappelling events outdoors at natural rock climbing sites. This is different from the COPE & Climbing training required for artificial structures. This is a new and exciting opportunity for our scouts to experience the outdoors and building up our talented instructor base is critical for this opportunity to continue.

This Course will qualify you to:

By providing you with:

An understanding of Climb on Safely

Knowledge of Basic Climbing techniques

Hands on belay, rappelling,climbing experience

Experience facilitating climbing & Rappelling activities

Experience on a Natural Rock Climbing Site
