Scouts BSA Scoutmaster Specific Training (S24)

Scouts BSA Scoutmaster Specific Training (S24)
Date: October 12, 8 am to 11 am
Location: Rainbow Scout Reservation
Pricing: $5
Scouts BSA Scoutmaster Specific Training will take place October 12th at Rainbow Scout Reservation (2600 Winterbottom Rd, Morris, IL 60450).
Scoutmaster Specific Training introduces you to everything you need to know about running a Scouts BSA Troop, which is different from a Cub Scout Pack! In particular, you and your fellow adult leaders are now in more of a "mentor" position where your job is to help your youth members learn and practice leadership. This is a great opportunity to meet other new Scoutmasters in a roundtable setting.
Who should take this course? Cub Scouting adults who will be crossing over this upcoming winter with their Cubs to a Scout BSA Troop or new Assistant Scoutmasters. Also good for anyone new to Scouting!
In addition to what you may have learned with the online training, you will learn or receive more in-depth training in the following essential areas to be an effective trained leader for our youth:
What a Scout Leader: must be - needs to know - responsibilities
A more in-depth understanding of a Troop and Troop Organization
