Cub Scout Swimming Adventure Day!

We're excited to invite all Cub Scouts to a special Swimming Adventure event designed to help every rank complete all requirements related to The Swimming Adventure!

What: A fun and skill-building swimming day for Cub Scouts

Where: Avery YMCA

When: November 2, 2025 - 3:30 start time

Who: All Cub Scout ranks - Lions, Tigers, Wolves, Bears, Webelos and Arrow of Light

Cost: $12 per scout

What to Expect: 

This event is carefully planned to include activities and instruction tailored to meet the swimming adventure requirements for every Cub Scout rank.  Scouts will rotate through stations that teach water safety, demonstrate swimming skills, and encourage confidence in the water - all in a structured, supportive environment.

Scouts will: 

• Learn and review water safety rules
• Practice safe entry and exit techniques
• Demonstrate basic swimming strokes
• Learn the Buddy system
• Bears/Webelos/AOL can attempt the BSA Swim test
• All ranks will get a rotation in the indoor waterpark
• Gain confidence in and around the water

All activities will be supervised by trained volunteers and lifeguards to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all. 

**All Lions and Tigers MUST have a parent in the water with them.**

**This is a Cub Scout only event. Only registered Cub Scouts may participate. Parents are encouraged to stay and observe.**

What to Bring:

• Swimsuit and towel
• Refillable water bottle
• Change of clothes
• Goggles (optional)

This is a great opportunity for your Scout to complete all swimming-related requirements in one day while having fun!
