Theme for day camp this year is Invention Convention!

Day camp is a Council organized program for all youth entering 1st grade through 5th grade in the fall. There will also be a Day for Lion scouts. The Day Camp program is designed around key areas: STEM, Water Sports, Shooting Sports, Games, and Crafts. Day Camp activities are intended to promote character development, citizenship training, and physical and mental health. As your Scout participates in these activities, they will have the opportunity to complete tasks they can use towards rank advancement.

Scouts and parent volunteers need to pack a lunch for the day and have a refillable water bottle. Please make sure that you put a name on the lunch. 

Schedule:

• Bolingbrook: Tigers - Arrow of Light: Bolingbrook Village Hall (375 W. Briarcliff Rd., Bolingbrook) June 15 through June 18. 

Early Bird Registration $120 dollars is due before 5-1-2025. Regular registration $140.

• Bolingbrook Lions: Bolingbrook Village Hall (375 W. Briarcliff Rd., Bolingbrook) June 18 only.  9 am until 3 pm.

 Regular registration $40.

• RSR Twilight Camp: Tigers - Arrow of Light: Rainbow Scout Reservation (2600 Winterbottom Rd)  July 13 through July 16. Daily from 3 pm until 8 pm.

Early Bird Registration $120 dollars is due before 5-1-2023. Regular registration $140.

• RSR Twilight Camp Lions: Rainbow Scout Reservation (2600 Winterbottom Rd) July 16 only.  3pm until 8 pm.

Regular registration $40.

Scouts that register prior to May 1 are guaranteed a t-shirt and camp patch.

Participants are Cub Scouts, Scout Age Siblings/Cousins/Friends.

Parents/Volunteers: We strongly recommended each camper have a corresponding adult (parent, guardian, grandparent, sibling over 18, etc.) volunteer a minimum of 1 day as a Staff Member or 2 days as a Day Walker. Day Camp is a volunteer-driven event and we rely on parents and leaders to help us have adequate staff for smooth camp operations and to maintain 2-deep leadership.

All Parents/Volunteers on Site need to take Safeguarding Youth Training and Hazardous Weather Training. These can be found on my.scouting.org. All will also need to complete Day Camp Training as well.

***Lions and Tigers are required to have an adult partner present at all times.***

Tot lot: Tot lot childcare is available to siblings of campers who are ages 3 - 14 on days when their parent/guardian is serving as an adult volunteer or day walker. The Tot lot is not a full Day Camp program though participants may participate in some of the Day Camp activities. Additional activities will be provided. Children MUST be potty trained to attend the Tot lot. The Tot lot is only available on days when the parent/guardian is volunteering. Please mark their lunch with their name and have a refillable water bottle. Lunches will be stored in a cooler in the Tot lot area.

Staff Member : Volunteer Staff Members consist of Range Masters (2-3 each camp), Tot Lot Assistant, Station Leads, Den Leaders (one needed for each den), and Trading Post Supervisor.

Day Walker: Day Walkers provide support to Staff by assisting with stations, providing additional supervision, and maintaining 2 deep leadership for every den.

Non Scouter Parent Volunteers:  MUST provide Safeguarding Youth Protection Training at online registration or day of camp. Safeguarding Youth Training can be completed on My.Scouting.org.

All participants must submit Medical Forms Part A & B!
