Cosmic Shotgun Shoot

Calling all Scouts, Scouters and their families. Come out to RSR on Aprill 11th for our first ever Cosmic Shotgun Shoot. The event will start at 6:30 pm with registration. Hotdog and chili will be available starting at 6:30 pm. Shooting will start at dusk and conclude at 9:30pm. In addition to the food and shooting there will be a campfire with Smores and hot chocolate.

When: April 11th, 2026

Where: Rainbow Scout Reservation

Time: 6:30 pm - 9 pm

Cost: $50 per shooter (up to 25 rounds), $20 for a non-shooter

Come on out and experience shooting at RSR in the dark!

We have a limit of 20 shooters to participate.

We will have hot dogs, chili, a campfire, S'mores and hot chocolate for everyone. 

All Scouts, Scouters and immediate family can participate. All shooters must be a minimum of 11 years old and of a physical stature to safely hold and fire a shotgun (final safety determination will be made by the Range Safety Officer).

6:30 pm Registration down at the ranges (15-minute walk from the parking lot)

6:30 pm food is available

7:15 pm Safety Briefing

Dusk Shooting begins

9:30 Shooting concludes

10:00 pm event ends

$50.00 Shooting, food, and campfire

$20.00 Food and campfire only

This event is limited to a maximum of 20 shooters.

All Scouting America Range and Target Activities rules and Rainbow Councils Range and Target Activities procedure will be followed. No personal firearms are allowed.
