2024 IOLS: Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills Fall

Event Details

The Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) course builds and expands on the concepts and themes introduced in Scoutmaster Position-Specific Training and Varsity Coach Position-Specific Training, and provides Scouters with the confidence to take youth into the outdoors.

Who: Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, Cub-masters , Assistant Cub-masters, Webelos I &II Den Leaders, Venture Advisors and Crew Committee members, or ANY Leader looking for basic knowledge of how a troop works and the process of taking Scouts camping are welcome.

This training is required for all Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmasters, Venture Advisors and Crew Committee members. The course is designed to provide working knowledge of the basic outdoor skills necessary to succeed as a Leader. You will be camping just like the youth in your unit and learning how the patrol method functions.  Meals from Saturday Lunch through Sunday Breakfast are included.

 

The training will take place at Rainbow Council Scout Reservation, 2600 N. Winterbottom Road, Morris, IL.

The session start at 8:00 AM on Saturday morning and ending by 11:00 AM on Sunday afternoon

Costs: Early $30 Until August 31st
Regular: $35  
Registration closes:   September 16th @ 5pm

Class size : Minimum of 6  / Maximum of 32
