Climb Through the Night with Venturing

Where: Bolingbrook Park District’s Annerino Community Center at 201 Recreation Dr., Bolingbrook, IL 60440

When: Friday, February 9 starting at 8 pm (doors open at 7:30) to 7 am on Saturday.

Who: Any Venturing, Sea Scout, or Explorer unit are invited to attend. Scouting, BSA participants who are older than 14 are invited to join us as individuals.

Cost: $35 for youth, $30 for adults

Plans: The units will host the Scouting, BSA participants based on geography. The goal is to let older Scouts know about programs that are available to them as they get older. We will have 5 stations open for the evening. Program will run from 8 pm to 1 am. Our program will include:

               Climbing wall

               Games

               Venturing rank requirements

               Wallyball

               Movie Night

From 1 am to 6 am, we will have lights out, but some Scouts might not want to sleep, so we will have a quiet game area set up for them.

Food: PIZZA!!!

Patch for the event will be included in the registration.

What to bring: Something to sleep in (aka bag and pad), a snacks to share, a beverage to drink with pizza, a quiet game if you’re not sleeping, and the medical form.

Please bring a COPY of Medical form part A and B, as they will not be returned after the event.

Minimum attendance of 40 Scouts. We have a cap of 100 Scouts.

 Adults from out of Council must bring a copy of the YPT.

Scouts will not be able to leave until the following morning.

Registration closes on February 2. Late registration will run until February 6 with a late fee of $5
