A royal proclamation to the people of this most wondrous rainbow council.

t is mine own hon'r and duty to requesteth thy presence and assistance at our annual council family campeth the fifth hour on the sixteenth day of the ninth month in the year of our l'rd two thousand and twenty two.

the theme is medieval times and we asketh yond ev'ryone to weareth costumes resembling the timeth p'riod and to act in a charact'r acc'rding to the times.

th're shall beest games and activities f'r all cub scouts and we shall closeth out campeth with a medieval style campeth fireth.

Family Camp is a wonderful and unique way to introduce your scout and your family to camping. With the fantastic resources and property of Rainbow Council RSR (Rainbow Scout Reservation), we have the opportunity to explore new trails, see and appreciate the outdoors the way it was meant to be, and to learn a little bit about ourselves in the process. Come see what you’re made of and experience our annual family camp adventure.
With activities ranging from fishing, shooting sports, games, campfires, and of course GaGa Ball, we will top off the weekend with medieval games before our closing campfire. Family Camp is one of the most popular events of the year and is open to all scouting families across all councils. Invite friends and family from other councils as well.

Cost:

EARLY REGISTRATION: $38 per person (children under 4 are FREE and still need to register)

EXTENDED REGISTRATION (after 8/20): $48 per person (children under 4 are FREE and still need to register)

AT THE DOOR REGISTRATION (after 9/5 at check-in on 9/16): $65 per person (children under 4 are FREE)

Blank Medical Forms (Required filled in and turned in at check-in) can be found HERE. (Parts A/B REQUIRED BY EVERYONE IN CAMP!) Choose the one that is under “All Scouting Events.

Early Registration $38 Closes: August 19th

EXTENDED EARLY REGISTRATION $38 - ONE DAY ONLY - August 20th

Normal Registration $48 Closes: September 5th

Late Registration: 9/6 - 9/16 $65 per person

(The Family Camp fee includes all meals through Sunday morning as well as camp facilities fees, patches, staff, and material costs.)

Other Family Camp FAQs

Interested in joing our staff: This year, Council will offer a stipend or equivalant discounts to all famillies or staff members participating in our Family Camp Program. This includes all trained leaders, parents with YPT, community volunteers, and Scouts BSA and Venture scouts.

Staff Needed: Medical Officer, Trading Post, Games/Crafts/Activity/Achievement Stations, Kitchen Manager and staff. You can find more opportunity to help at our Signup Genius.
