Camp Mooney Merit Badge Fair
May 30 - June 1, 2025 | Marion Mooney Scout Ranch — Camas Valley, OR

$15.00 per Scout ($20 after May 1st)


Join us for the fifth annual Camp Mooney Merit Badge Fair!

This is not your traditional merit badge fair. This weekend-long event will offer a variety of merit badges while also providing units the opportunity to gather in fellowship and camp beneath the stars at the beautiful Marion Mooney Scout Ranch. 

Over 25 merit badges will be offered on Saturday with something available for every Scout! Scouts can either attend by themselves for the day or attend with their unit. Units are encouraged to attend the entire weekend by camping on Friday and/or Saturday nights. There is no extra charge to camp. 

The event is $15.00 per Scout (if registered by May 1st) and includes an event patch. After May 1st, the event goes up to $20.00 per Scout. Registration closes on May 18th. Registered adult leaders are free (patch not included). Extra patches will be available for purchase at the event (based on availability).

Registration

Registration for this event is REQUIRED! There will be no onsite registration or payment for the event. All Scouts and adult leaders must register online whether they are attending for the day or camping all weekend. The deadline to register is Sunday, May 18, 2025 at 11:59 PM. 

Units can register all Scouts and leaders in one registration or Scouts may register individually. Class selection will take place through the online registration system. 

Most of the merit badge classes have a limited number of seats available. It is highly recommended that units register early and Scouts sign up for classes as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee class availability upon arrival at camp. Class changes on site are subject to available slots left. 


Signing Up for Classes

All class sign-ups will take place online within the registration system. Inside each Scout’s registration record (where their name is entered), there is a class selector tool. 

It is recommended that Scouts use the full class schedule to decide which classes they want to sign up for and at what times. Some classes are offered at more than one time.


Prerequisites

Most merit badges have requirements that cannot be completed in a single day. Scouts may be required to complete some work before the event if they wish to complete the merit badge, called prerequisites.

Scouts are highly encouraged to start early on prerequisites to allow adequate time to complete them and bring them to class.
