Philmont Trek - 2027 contingent

Pacific Crest Council presents the 2027 Philmont Trek Contingent:
A 12-day trek through the Sangre de Christo Mountains of New Mexico at the iconic Philmont High Adventure Base.
Participants carry a backpack with a weight between 35-50 pounds over rugged terrain, and include staffed camps with diverse programs.
Treks are designed to test physical and mental endurance, build teamwork, and provide a memorable high-adventure experience for youth and adult participants.
Trek requirements:
-Must be at least 14 years old or 13 years old and have completed the 8th grade by 6/15/27.
-Must meet the height/weight restrictions listed under Philmont's High Adventure and Risk Advisory on the Annual Health and Medical Record.
-Must participate in preparation hikes and contingent meetings. Preparation hikes will begin in the fall of 2026 and continue through spring 2027. Contingent meetings will be an overnight campout in January/February 2027.
Fee includes transportation to and from Philmont, all meals, an activity shirt, and the Philmont experience.
Dates do not include travel to and from Philmont.
