Ship Wreck Cove at Medicine Mountain Cub Resident camp

Event Details

Ship Wreck Cove at Medicine Mountain

Pirates from all over the area and surrounding states are invited to attend this year's Cub Scout & Webelos Resident Camp. Medicine Mountain's Ship Wreck Cove is a place where Scouts can learn all the skills it takes to be a Pirate on the high "Black Sea Hills"

Pirates at Medicine Mountain will have 9 blocks to schedule their choose of class in. The Cove offers advancement related courses, exciting activities, and numerous pirate themed courses. Each block has 12 different programs to choose from. Local units and dens can opt to schedule their scouts together for courses, however, please be aware that each course has a capacity to ensure program quality. Each course is offered at least 2 times during the duration of the pirate camp. So, if one course is filled, there is an additional option to still participate in that activity.

What's New for 2018?

Program

The Cub Resident Camp will operate utilizing a block schedule. This allows Scouts the ability to craft a custom resident camp experience. 9 blocks are offered over the course of the resident camp. Each block has 12 options that a Scout can choose from.

Food Service

Packs and/or dens will be responsible for preparing breakfast and dinner in their campsite. Medicine Mountain will provide the ingredients for each meal and will provide sack lunches for each day. Specific information on this model is addressed in the event guide.

Theme

This year's Cub Scout & Webelos Resident Camp will again be heavily themed. Participants will see the theme woven into every aspect of the programming, campfires, pre-camp information, recognition, and a story line.
