Pinewood Derby 2024

The Black Hills Area Council Pinewood Derby is March 16, 2024 The race will take place at

VFW Post 5860
3102 E. Fairground Loop
Spearfish, SD 57783. 

Registration is required for the event for everyone that is attending. Please try to limit attendance to only the racer and a parent / guardian bringing the racer to the race. All participants and spectators are encouraged to practice social distancing and wearing a mask is encouraged but not required.

Pinewood Derby Race Day Schedule
Registration Weigh-in starts at 11:00 am - 11:30 am
RACES WILL BEGIN ONCE EVERYONE IS CHECKED IN AND WILL GO IN THE FOLLOWING ORDER
~ Lion 
~ Tiger 1
~ Wolf 
~ Bear 
~ WEBELOS 
~ Scouts BSA
~ Adult Leader  (this division is for registered Scout leaders only) Winning Leader gets their name added to the Trophy
~ Friends & Family (this division is open to all siblings and other adults only)
~ Outlaw   (this division is open to all siblings, Scouts BSA members and other adults. . . you can also break the normal rules in this division. Its true we have seen a potato with wheels and an actual stick of butter racing before)

~ Race Of Champions will take place as the last race of the day. First place winners from Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, WEBELO, AOL divisions only. 

AWARDS CEREMONY WILL TAKE PLACE 15 Mins after the conclusion of the last race for the day.
