Webelos Weekend is an in-camp experience just for Webelos!

Webelos Weekend is now Webelos Saturday!

Webelos and Arrow of Light Cubs: Come with your Dens to Camp Roosevelt on October 24 for a fun-filled day of activities that look ahead to life in Scouts BSA! Parents: tag along and learn a ton of great information about the next phase of your Scout's journey!

This District-run event is open to all Webelos and Arrow of Light Cub Scouts in Garden State Council and beyond!

Hands-On Activities Will Include:

1. Knife Safety, including Whittling Chip vs Totin Chip and information on the best knives for Scouts BSA.

2. Team building

3. OA presentation (who they are and what they do)

4. Gear Stations! Activities are very different in Scouts BSA, and so is the gear! Current Scouts and Scout leaders will host stations showcasing these topics, and more:

• Scouts BSA camping, general
• Camping backpacks, what goes in them – and what does not!
• Sleeping bags and ground pads
• Hiking boots and their features
• And more!

5. Fire building, prep, and safety

6. Merit badges and how the merit badge system works

Scouts will need to bring their own lunch; no food will be available on-site.

Scouts will stay with Den/Pack for the entire day. Smaller groups and individuals may be combined. All appropriate safety guidelines will be in effect. All participants must bring their own mask and be prepared to wear it properly according to the guidelines in effect on the date of the event.

Pack Leaders, please note: Some stations such as team building will require materials. Units will be required to provide their own materials, to eliminate the need for cleaning between sessions. (A list will be sent to registered units prior to the event.)

Handouts will be available for the unit leaders.

Cost: $5 for Webelos, Webelos Leaders, and Parents. Cost includes a patch!

THIS REGISTRATION IS FOR:

Webelos Leaders, Webelos Parents, Webelos themselves, Scouts BSA leaders and Scouts who will volunteer at the event, and other Scouters who will attend the day. Your registration enables the organizers to prep appropriate accommodations for everyone!
