Scouts BSA Specialty Camps Offer New Adventures at Pine Hill Scout Reservation for Troops and Individual Scouts!

 

WEEK 1: June 30-July 5

Each Scout attending this week can choose either Trek Liberty (Philly excursions and Citizenship merit badges) or STEM Camp! All Scouts in camp this week will also have access to: 

  • Low COPE
  • Open swim (pool)
  • Open rifle

Trek Liberty

Pine Hill S.R. is the closest Scout camp to Historic Philadelphia! This week of Scout camp will feature day trips across the river to the City of Brotherly Love in pursuit of three Citizenship merit badges plus American Heritage. Points of interest on the itinerary will include the National Constitution Center, National Park sites, Museum of the American Revolution, and more!

Merit Badges covered during the week:

  • American Heritage
  • Citizenship in the Community
  • Citizenship in the Nation
  • Citizenship in the World

All-inclusive cost for the week: $500 per Scout / $100 per Adult

 

STEM Camp

Tinkerers and tech-obsessed Scouts: This week is for you! Immerse yourself in the Robotics, Electricity, Model Design and Building, Digital Technology, and Programming merit badges! 

All-inclusive cost for this week: $500 per Scout / $100 per Adult

 

*This camp week ends on a Friday night. Anyone needing to stay Friday for a Saturday morning departure can add that during registration for $25/person (includes breakfast).


WEEK 2: July 7-12

Each Scout attending this week can choose either Marksmanship Challenge or Trail to First Class! All Scouts in camp this week will also have access to: 

  • Low COPE
  • Open swim (pool)
  • Open rifle

Marksmanship Challenge

The Basic Track will lead Scouts through the Rifle Shooting and Shotgun Shooting merit badges.

The Advanced Track will focus on the National Rifle Association Marksmanship Awards.

Top Shot competition at the end of the week, with prizes.

Plus, special programs for all attending Scouts, including firearm education and safety, Cowboy Action Pistol Program and Black Powder Rifle Program.

*Note: Age 14+ for Shotgun is recommended.

All-inclusive cost for the week: $400 per Scout / $100 per Adult

 

Trail to First Class

Ideal for first- or second-year Scouts, this adventure is designed as a deep dive into the Scout skills that form the foundation of Scouting.

The week will cover:

Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class requirements

Merit Badges: Swimming, Nature, Leatherwork, First Aid, Fingerprinting, Woodcarving

All-inclusive cost for the week $400 per Scout / $100 per Adult

Our Summer Camp registration uses “Parent Portal,” which lets unit leaders start the registration and Scout parents to make payments directly in the system.
