The Crossroads District Klondike is a three-day, two-night winter camping experience designed to challenge Scouts through outdoor skills, t eamwork, leadership, and cold-weather preparedness. This full-weekend event immerses participants in authentic Winter Camping Conditions, reinforcing the values and resilience of Scouting.

Program Highlights

Klondike Derby & Trekker Challenge — Saturday Saturday features two major competitive events:

Klondike Derby  • Traditional sled-based competition across nine skill stations. • Ideal for Scouts working toward First Class Rank.

Trekker Challenge  • A high-adventure backpack trek for Scouts First Class and above, competing in teams of 2–3 with no more than two years’ age difference. • Each Trekker carries gear on a homemade pack frame. The day concludes with a camp-wide campfire, celebrating Scout Spirit, fellowship, and the accomplishments of all participants.

Webelos & Arrow of Light Participation

Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts are invited to attend Saturday only and compete in a dedicated Webelos/AOL classification.

Troop Participation

Troops are encouraged to sponsor Packs, providing younger Scouts with a meaningful introduction to the teamwork, leadership, and adventure they will experience upon crossing over into Scouts BSA
