Volunteer Recognition Dinner

This is the premier event of the year for Scouting America- Garden State Council. On this one night, the entire Scouting family comes together to celebrate the impact and service of all of our volunteers in the Council, and in particular, those who have made an outstanding impact in 2024. The highlight of the evening is the presentation of tScouting Ameirca's Silver Beaver award.

The Silver Beaver is the highest honor and recognition a volunteer can receive from the local council. Silver Beavers are recognized for their extraordinary volunteer contribution to both Scouting and the community at large. Each year the Council bestows the Silver Beaver to volunteers who serve at the unit, district, and council level and have been nominated by others. This is our Council’s best opportunity to say thanks publicly and passionately to some very special people who do so much for Scouting, their faith community, and the local community…all without receiving a paycheck.

Registration options:

To attend the dinner, choose Dinner Attendee.

If you would like to add on the pre-event reception (5:30-6:30 in the wine cellar) with the honorees and sponsor their dinner, then you can also select "Silver Beaver Booster Add-On." The Booster Add-On does not include your dinner.

If you would like to sponsor the honorees, but cannot attend the dinner, then simply choose "Silver Beaver Booster Add-On," and no other participant type. 

This is not a uniformed event.

Congratulate an Honoree or Celebrate a Scouting Accomplishment

During registration, choose to add a full- or half-page congratulatory ad. Full-page: +$50, Half-page: +$25

The program book is a "booklet" size: Full page measures 5.5-inches wide by 8.5-inches tall; half-page is 5.5-inches wide by 4.25-inches tall. Print-ready ads should be in PDF or PNG file format and can be uploaded during registration or emailed to joseph.blazejewski@scouting.org with the subject line "Council Dinner Ad."
