Garden State Council Volunteer Recognition Dinner

This is the premier event of the year for Scouting America – Garden State Council. On this special night, our entire Scouting family comes together to celebrate the dedication, service, and impact of our volunteers—especially those who have made an outstanding contribution in 2025.

The highlight of the evening is the presentation of Scouting America’s Silver Beaver Award.

About the Silver Beaver Award

The Silver Beaver is the highest honor a volunteer can receive from the local council. It recognizes individuals whose service to Scouting and to the community at large has been truly extraordinary.

Each year, the Council bestows this award upon volunteers serving at the unit, district, and council levels who have been nominated by their peers. This event is our Council’s opportunity to say “thank you”—publicly and wholeheartedly—to remarkable individuals who give so much to Scouting, their faith communities, and the local community… all without ever receiving a paycheck.

This is a non-uniformed event.
