Chain Saw Safety Training

Chain Saw Safety Training – Pine Hill Scout Reservation
March 7-8, 2026

In order to operate a chainsaw on Scouting America property, you must be certified through the new Chainsaw Safety course issued by the National Office.

We are offering this certification course at Pine Hill Scout Reservation on March 7-8, 2026

This weekend course will cover:

Safe and proper operation of a chainsaw

Maintenance and care

Limbing, bucking, and felling

Details:

Cost: Free (lunch will be provided but if staying over night you will be responsible for dinner and breakfast)

Lodging: Available at no additional cost

Age Requirement: Participants must be 21 or older

Equipment: Do not bring your own saw. Personal protective equipment will be provided. Please bring leather gloves, long-sleeve shirt, pants, and boots. You will need to provide Health Forms A and B for the event.

Capacity: Limited to 10 participants
