Remembering 9/11 First Responders Camporee 

September 10-12, 2021

The 2021 “Remembering 9/11 First Responders” Camporee honors the 20th anniversary of 9/11 with a focus on the brave firefighters, military, and police. There will be classic camporee events that emphasize teamwork, as well as individual skills.

The Classic Camporee Contests are:

• Knot Tying Relay: Classic Relay that includes the bowline, clove hitch, square, sheet bend, two half hitches and timber hitch!
• Fireman rescue: Using three 6ft long branches cut from trees and lashing three scouts assemble and carry a 4th scout 50 yards. 
• Flagpole race: Using a Tent pole or sapling, rope, carribiners and tent stakes raise your patrol flag on a free standing spot with the first that is highest winning.
• Stretcher relay: Using two 6ft branches cut from dead trees, shirts and cloth carry 4 scouts back and forth on a 25 yard relay.

At each event, points will be earned and recorded by the Judges.   Patrols and teams with the most points at the end of the day will receive awards at Saturday night’s campfire.

The Service Project will be digging a permanant fire pit.
