Trail to the Troops

Event Details

Trail to the Troops
(Previously known as Webelos Woods)

December 5-7, 2025

Trail to the Troops is an excellent opportunity for Webelos and Arrow of Light (AOL) scouts to learn about scouting at the BSA Troop level. This program is a weekend long camping experience that will expose Webelos, AOL scouts, and their parents to camping as a BSA Troop. Parents will enjoy a role reversal from Cub Scout camping in that their scouts start practicing decision making and will prepare, cook and clean up for dinner on Saturday evening. Scouts and parents will also get the opportunity to experience dining hall meals like those enjoyed at summer and winter scouting camps. Parents will be able to enjoy some comradery with leaders from other scouting units during this role reversal. BSA Troop Scouts will be with each Cub Scout unit to help teach and guide during mealtime and throughout the weekend.

Trail to the Troops will be held at Camp Wallwood in Quincy, Fl from Friday December 5th through Sunday December 7th, 2025.

Many of the activities planned for Trail to the Troops will help the Webelos and Arrow of Light scouts’ complete requirements for various adventures. They will also learn many fun and important scouting skills that can help them throughout their lives. Trail to the Troops is an important weekend event that is designed only for the Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts. Trail to the Troops will give the scouts and parents a glimpse of camping at the troop level along with a feel of attending a summer or winter BSA camp.

Each camper will have the option of choosing which two activity areas, of the three activity areas being offered, they wish to attend.

The Webelos activity areas to choose between are:
1) Catch the Big One
2) Tech on the Trail and Math on the Trail
3) Shooting Sports

The AOL activity areas to choose between are:
1) Fishing
2) High Tech Outdoors and Estimations
3) Shooting Sports
