Aquatics Weekend
April 11-13, 2025 June 7-8, 2025
To be held at Wallwood BSR
This event will also be held to certify BSA Lifeguards and will include CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
Lifeguards should plan to arrive no later than 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday and will be done by 6:00pm on Satuday, and 5pm on Sunday.
BSA Swim Test (for lifeguards) will be conducted at the beginning of the event.
Before arrival at event, please bring proof of completed courses:
Lifeguard Pro (ONLINE) Training
Safe Swim Defense and Safety Afloat (both required)

Please also review BSA training at https://my.scouting.org/ . To print required certificate: log in, click person icon in upper right, choose "My Trainings." Click "Completions" on left and locate "Safe Swim Defense" and “Safety Afloat”. Click bubble next to course and choose "Certificate" at top. Save to computer and upload this certificate when registration requests it.
Needed Items for class:
Swimming: swim shorts, one-piece swimsuits (females), t-shirts that can get wet, dry clothes for after swimming
Extras: sunscreen, aloe gel, hat for shade, water shoes (Crocs, Teva’, flip-flops)
Water bottle, waterproof watch, sunglasses (polarized is preferred), swimming towel, and a fun attitude!!!!!
Swim continuously for 550 yards in good form using the front crawl or breaststroke or a combination of either, but swimming on the back or side is not allowed.
Immediately following the above swim, tread water for two minutes with the legs only and the hands under the armpits.
Starting in the water, swim 20 yards using a front crawl or breaststroke, surface dive 7 to 10 feet, retrieve a 10-pound object, surface, swim on your back with the object 20 yards back to the starting point with both hands holding the object, and exit the water, all within 1 minute, 40 seconds.
THESE WILL NEED TO BE COMPLETED BEFORE RECEIVING THE LIFEGAURD CERTIFICATION
