High Adventure Classes

6 Weekends in June and July

Troops and Venture Crews can sign up for a Day of Sailing class or a Tubing & Wakeboarding class  at the Chisholm Trail High Adventure Base at SR2 on 12,000 acre Lake Bridgeport. Units will bring their own food, do their own cooking in their campsite, and manage their trip as normal unit weekend camping trip. Units can also do High Adventure Classes as Day Trips.

Because of COVID-19 rules, Day of Sailing class and Tubing & Wakeboarding class can be reserved by only one Troop each day.

Day of Sailing.

Saturdays only at SR2. Arrive Friday evening or 7:30 am Saturday. Sail 8 a.m. - 6 PM. Minimum 10 youth per weekend, maximum 20, from one Troop or Crew.  At least 2 adults required. COST: $30 per youth. Supervising adults free. Bring your lunch to the Sailing Base.

Tubing & Wakeboarding Day.

Available Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at SR2. Must be 14 or older - no exceptions. Minimum 5, maximum 10 youth or adults from one Troop or Crew.  Arrive the night before or make it an early day trip and arrive 7:30 a.m. Includes a pontoon boat (we train). At least 2 adults required (either registered for the class or just supervising). COST: $100 per participant. Bring your lunch to the Marina.

Also available:

ATV Safety Institute Rider Course. Open to individual registrations by youth and adults. Take an evening safety course. In the morning do a hands-on, 2.5 hour drill course conducted by licensed Instructors, and then a long afternoon trail ride in the wilderness at SR2. Class starts 7:00 PM Friday evening and all day Saturday to 6:00 PM. Must be 16 or older. Min 4, max 8. COST: $100 per registered youth or Adult. Click here to register.

Current protocols for social distancing, hygiene and disinfecting will be enforced, as well as Youth Protection and the Buddy System. All participants must bring their own cloth masks to wear. Masks are required in the following areas:

1. anytime you are in a building
2. in class as directed
3. when approaching close to staff or Scouts/adults who are not from your Troop.
