Celebrate the spirit of leadership, fellowship, and Scouting tradition at our Wood Badge Banquet! Whether you are a Wood Badge graduate, a staff member, or a Scouting supporter, join us for an evening of camaraderie and celebration of achievements in Scouting leadership.
Who Should Attend?
Wood Badge Alumni: Whether you just completed your ticket or it’s been years, come and reconnect.
Scouters: All adult leaders, whether or not you've attended Wood Badge, are welcome.
Supporters & Families: Celebrate alongside your loved ones and experience the joy of Scouting.
Event Details
Date: May 2nd, 2026
Time: Doors open at 5:30pm for Branding and Fellowship, Check-in at 6pm, Opening Ceremony begins at 6:30pm
Tentative Location: First United Methodist Church, 114 Paula Drive, Joshua, TX 76058
Meal Options:
Smoked Pork Tenderloin w/ Smoked Sausage and BBQ Sauce, Potato Salad, Beans, Roll
Smoked Chicken Breast (NO Sausage), Potato Salad, Beans, Roll
Stuffed Zucchini, Potato Salad, Beans, Roll
Dessert Ootions: Apple and Peach Cobbler
This banquet honors Wood Badge alumni, celebrates the completion of leadership goals, and offers a great opportunity to network with fellow Scouters. It’s also a night to recognize outstanding contributions to Scouting and share fond memories of past courses.
- Award may be received only once.
- To be eligible person must be a registered Scouter.
- Recipient must have a long and sustained commitment to supporting Wood Badge.
- Recipient should have contributed significantly to furthering Scouting and its ideals.
- Recipient should exhibit and promote Scouting spirit.
- Recipient should minimize self-promotion.
- Recipient should always be willing to lend a hand.
- Service as a Wood Badge Course Director by itself is not a criteria for the award.

The Wood Badge Legacy Award recognizes a Wood Badger that through life long service has obtained the goal of leaving a legacy.
- Award may be received only once.
- To be eligible a person must have been a long time registered Scouter, have taken Wood Badge and earned their beads.
- Recipient should have contributed significantly to furthering Scouting and its ideals.
- Recipient should have exhibited and promoted Scouting spirit.
- Recipient should have always minimized self-promotion.
- Recipient was always willing to lend a hand.
- Recipient should have had a notable impact on Scouting, Wood Badge, and those served.
- This award can be awarded posthumously.

The Distinguished Service to Wood Badge Award recognizes significant service to Scouting and Wood Badge over the last year.
- Recipient must have contributed greatly to Wood Badge during the past year.
- Recipient must have attended Wood Badge but not necessarily have earned their beads.
- Recipient(s) are eligible to receive the award more than once.
- Receiving the award will not hinder individuals from receiving the Wood Badge Award of the Year as long as it is not in the same year.
- Past recipients of Wood Badge Award of the Year are eligible for this award.
- Tenure in Scouting is not a factor
