3… 2…1… BLAST OFF at Rocket Academy!

Get ready for an action-packed day of STEM adventure at Rocket Academy! Camp Tahuaya's Makerspace will transform into the Rocket Building Hangar, where participants will become aerospace engineers for the day by designing, building, and launching their own model rockets.

Throughout the day, families will explore the science of flight with a variety of exciting hands-on activities, including:

• model rockets
• water rockets
• chemical rockets
• air rockets
• archery
• outdoor games
• and more!

Each participant will build and customize their own model rocket by assembling the components, painting the body, and applying decals. Then, during the afternoon launch session, everyone will gather at the launch field to count down with the Launch Director and watch their creations soar into the sky!

Rocket Academy Timeline

• 8 AM- Registration Opens
• 9:30 AM- Activities Begin
• Noon- Lunch (Meals Available for Purchase at Check-Out)
• 4:30 PM- Activities Close

• $20 Youth & Adult Participants (Includes Rocket Kit)
• $10 Youth & Adult Non-Participants 
  • Late fee of $5 per registrant after September 15, 2026
