Calling All Scouts and Families!

The Longhorn Council is ready to help you design and build the ultimate Pinewood Derby car! 

Our Pinewood Derby Workshop is come-and-go, but we recommend setting aside at least 45 minutes to really perfect your ride. Don’t have a car yet? No worries – we’ve got plenty available for purchase right at the workshop! Plus, the Scout Shop will be open for all the accessories you need to make your car truly one-of-a-kind. 

Ready, set, race – let’s make your Pinewood Derby experience the best yet! Check out the video below for inspiration!

We can help with:

• The basic shape & design of your car.
• The basic cutting of the shape of your car.
• Light sanding of the car.
• Help installing axles and wheels on the car. 

Hurst Service Center: January 10th, 2026 9AM-3PM. Adults, please plan on attending with your Scout.

Lewisville Scout Shop: January 10th, 2026 10AM-3PM. Adults, please plan on attending with your Scout. (Design and Cutting Only)
