Dates: The journey begins from Longhorn Council on July 18, 2023 and returns home on July 29.

Youth Participants: As long as you will be 12 years old by July 19, 2023 there is a place for you at the Jamboree.

Adults:  All adult Scouters are encouraged to attend the Jamboree.  The initial deadline for adult contingent leader applications has past but there are still opportunities to attend the Jamboree with the contingent or serve on Staff.

What is a “Contingent” :  When attending the Jamboree we go as a Council not as an individual Troop or Venture Crew.  That being said Scouts and Venturers register individually so it doesn’t matter if you are the only one from your unit attending or if there are several others going as well.  The Longhorn Council will combine the youth participants into Troops or for Venturers, Crews depending on the youths registration.  The newly created Troop/Crew will have leaders that are selected by the Council Jamboree Committee and the Unit will then select the youth leadership.  All of the Troops and Crews that are formed from the Longhorn Council make up our Jamboree Contingent.  As you can imagine this is a great way to make new lifelong friendships.

Youth Participant Requirements: Minimum of 12 years of age on or before the first day of the Jamboree.

Order of the Arrow members interested in attending the Jamboree as part of “Operation Arrow” please contact your lodge officers for more information or go to https://oa-bsa.org/jamboree.
