Memorial for Joyce Barnes

Please join us for a special memorial service for Joyce Barnes, beloved wife of Ranger Ray Barnes, on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Sid Richardson Scout Ranch with a meal to follow.   It is with a heavy heart that we remember the passing of Joyce Barnes, March 5, 2021.  She endured a long and valiantly fought battle with cancer.  We will honor her memory and her dedication to Scouting and service work to Sid Richardson Scout Ranch. 

Joyce spent many hours volunteering at SR2 and shined bright through her service work.  Join us as we commemorate her volunteer work and the life, she shared with all of us.  We will gather for a dedication, stories, and a meal. 

10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.             Eulogy/storytelling, sign-in book

2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.               Buffet style meal 

In lieu of flowers, Joyce would appreciate honoring her legacy with a donation to the Longhorn Council.  To help us prepare for the food, please let us know you are attending and how many will be joining you.  We will set up a LHC calendar event to make this easy for you to RSVP, beginning Monday, April 26th.  We will also share this notice on our LHC and the SR2 Facebook pages.
