Welcome to the College of Commissioner Science!

 

Join the other commissioners of the Longhorn Council participating in this year’s College of Commissioner Science (CCS). CCS is a full day of learning and fellowship with opportunities to complete various degree paths and continuing education courses.

Online registration closes August 20, 2019 at 5:00 PM, you can also register as a walk-in on Saturday August 24, 2019.

TUITION FEE PER STUDENT/STAFF: $25.00
Tuition Fees Include Beverages, Lunch, Certificate, Patch, Insurance Fees, Supplies, and a 100th Anniversary CSP (register by August 16th to get a free CSP).Longhorn Council 100th Anniversary CSP - 100 Years of Adventure
Name Tags can be purchased for an additional $8.00 and must be ordered by Friday, August  16th.

Degrees and Learning Opportunities:

  • Associate’s Degree is the beginning of the commissioner experience that includes Commissioner Basic Training.

  • Bachelor of Commissioner Science (BCS) is an entry-level program for commissioners who have completed basic commissioner training. Includes course tracks for both Unit Commissioners and Roundtable Commissioners.

  • Master of Commissioner Science (MCS) focuses on advanced problem solving and administrative skill instruction. Masters course tracks for both Unit Commissioners and Roundtable Commissioners.

  • Doctorate of Commissioner Science (DCS) is a two-year program that challenges candidates to identify, develop, and present a project or service concept to a panel of their peers.

  • Continuing Education (CE).  CCS is an opportunity to expand knowledge and increase the effectiveness of unit service.

  • Doctorate of Commissioner Science Knot Award.
