Basic Archery Instructor Course

USA Archery & NFAA, (formerly Level 1 Course)

This course is for adults who would like to run an archery program for their Troop or Crew, and to be Archery Merit Badge counselors. Upon completion, students will receive the Level I Archery Instructor certification, instructor card (valid for 3 years), the Instructor’s Manual, and a Longhorn Council Archery Instructor’s patch.

Open to registered BSA adults or youth age 18 and older, and to other participants with instructor’s permission.

SCHEDULE:
    Saturday 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. AND
    Sunday   8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (approx.)

Class Size is limited to 20 participants.

Lodging: You may camp at no cost. Food is not provided. Note that tobacco and alcohol products are not allowed on Scout ranches. Personal firearms are not allowed, and archery equipment may only be brought with the instructor’s approval.

Those seeking re-certification (with proof of prior certification) need to contact Don Goldston (don.goldston@verizon.net or 817-403-4885) directly for a one-day class that Saturday.
