Take Flight with Aviation Merit Badge!

Join Longhorn Council for an exciting day of discovery at the Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center in Dallas on Saturday, October 25th, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This immersive event gives Scouts BSA youth the opportunity to earn the Aviation Merit Badge while exploring the fascinating world of flight. 

• The registration fee is $25 per participant, which includes access to merit badge instruction and museum exhibits.
  • Additional family members who wish to tour the museum may do so for $5 per person at the door.
• Participants should bring a shelf-stable lunch and
• Scouts should attend dressed in their Field Uniform (Class A) to represent Scouting with pride.

The National Aviation Education Center is home to an incredible collection of historical artifacts, including authentic World War II nose art. Please note that some of these exhibits feature artwork intended for a mature audience; families may preview this collection in advance by visiting The Gallery – NAEC.

Whether you’re fascinated by the mechanics of flight, the bravery of pilots, or the future of air travel, this event is your chance to learn from experts and see history up close. Open to all Scouts BSA youth with an interest in aviation, this merit badge workshop is sure to inspire your next adventure, whether in the air or on the ground.
